These athletes have proven themselves to be among the best in the league, earning accolades from a panel of media professionals and the conference's head coaches.
Steven McBride: Second-Team Wide Receiver
Steven McBride, a talented wide receiver, has been named to the second team. He had an impressive season, finishing with 63 catches for a team-leading 1,024 yards and nine touchdowns. McBride's performance included several notable plays, including a 65-yard reception, which was the longest pass play of the season for the University of Hawai'i.
Pofele Ashlock: Honorable Mention Wide Receiver
Pofele Ashlock, a freshman wide receiver, has made a remarkable impact in his debut season. He leads all freshmen in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) in receptions (83) and receiving yards (832). Ashlock's achievements include back-to-back 100-yard receiving games at the beginning of his career, a feat that hasn't been accomplished by a University of Hawai'i freshman since 2005.
Peter Manuma: Honorable Mention Defensive Back
Peter Manuma, a defensive back, has made significant contributions to the team's success. He started all 13 games at safety, leading the team with 87 tackles, including 5.5 tackles for loss. Manuma also showcased his skills in pass defense, recording three interceptions throughout the season.
Brayden Schager: Honorable Mention Quarterback
Brayden Schager, the team's quarterback, has demonstrated exceptional talent on the field. He started every game and posted impressive passing numbers, throwing for 3,542 yards and 26 touchdowns. Schager's achievements include six 300+ yard passing games, placing him among the top quarterbacks in the program's history.
Matthew Shipley: Honorable Mention Placekicker
Matthew Shipley is a reliable placekicker who has consistently delivered for the team. He converted 14-of-18 field goal attempts, including two game-winning field goals as time expired. Shipley's accuracy and strong leg were evident in his successful kicks from beyond 50 yards.
Cam Stone: Honorable Mention Defensive Back
Cam Stone, a cornerback, has made his mark on the field despite missing three games due to injury. In the games he played, Stone demonstrated his skill in pass defense, with six pass breakups and one interception. His interception against Air Force sealed the victory for the University of Hawai'i.
